Both the Sensex and Nifty wrapped up in a positive manner, registering gains of 0.60% and 0.62%, respectively. It’s worth noting that the Nifty Midcap closed with a modest uptick of 0.5%, whereas the Nifty Smallcap displayed a more robust performance, closing higher by 0.84%. 

Key sectors propelling the market’s upward trajectory included Nifty Energy, Nifty Auto, and Nifty FMCG, all of which emerged as the top gainers. Conversely, Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty IT were the notable underperformers during the trading session. 

In terms of individual stocks, the top gainers featured Hero Motocorp, Wipro and Grasim, while HCL Technologies, Adani Ports, and SBIN experienced declines, positioning them as the leading losers among the Nifty 50 constituents.

Century Extrusions

The company witnessed a robust price and volume breakout, resulting in the stock getting locked at a 5% upper circuit, reaching an intraday high of Rs 16.50 per share on the NSE. Century Extrusions manufactures aluminium extruded products, power transmission and distribution line hardware.  

AKI India

This counter experienced a significant increase in buying interest as the scrip surged and got locked at a 5% upper circuit, reaching an intraday high of Rs 14.75 per share on the NSE. This surge in price was accompanied by a noteworthy rise in trading volume for the scrip. AKI India specializes in the manufacturing and export of leather and leather goods.  

A B Infrabuild

The stock underwent a substantial surge in its stock price, zooming and getting locked at a 5% upper circuit, indicating a strong breakout in both price and volume. The stock achieved an impressive intraday high of Rs 31.50 per share on the NSE. A B Infrabuild is engaged in activities like steel grinder bridges, railway infrastructure, and road contracts.
